Rosso di Margherita

Dedicated to our great-grandmother Margherita and all those who worked hard to carve a scrap of land out of the mountainside, turning it into sun-kissed terraces and this red wine bursting with character.

This wine spends 12 months in small oak barrels and another 6 months in the bottle. Its ruby red colour displays garnet highlights and fleeting flashes of orange. An intense, evolved, lingering bouquet laced with cherry, smoky notes and a subtle vegetal hint of hay. A full-bodied wine with light tannins, savoury and well-orchestrated.

We recommend pairing it with red meat, stews and game. Traditional mountain dishes: polenta and cheese-based pasta dishes (such as traditional Pizzoccheri alla Valtellinese, buckwheat pasta with cheese, potatoes and cabbage).
